Third time’s a charm?
WE’VE all heard the term “third time’s a charm”.
Well, that’s a scenario Kim Procter hopes comes to fruition today.
During the recent Australian Pacing Gold Sales in Melbourne and Perth, Kimmy and I have selected the yearlings we think are the best.
Staying away from breeding, conformation, temperament and so on, the Lots were chosen for their ‘Hollywood’ looks.
With APG’s Sydney Sale on today, the third round is about to begin.
A fabulous line-up of 228 yearlings are poised to ‘go under the hammer’ to produce what is predicted to be spirited bidding.
The list breakSdown to 121 colts and 107 fillies by leading sires such as American Ideal, Art Major, Bettors Delight, Captaintreacherous, Mach Three, Majestic Son, Rock N Roll Heaven, Shadow Play and Somebeachsomewhere just to name a handful.
Add stallions such as Always B Miki, Betting Line, Sunshine Beach and Warrawee Needy to the list and it’s easy to understand why demand will be high.
On the broodmare side of the families there are plenty of Group One winners and producers with athletic looking progeny ready to enter the Warwick Farm Sales ring.

After losing the first two rounds, Kimmy is looking to ‘hit the board’ with Lot 579.
Complete with three white legs the handsome colt is by A Rocknroll Dance from Sing It Loud.
Chasing a clean sweep of the sales, I have gone with Lot 622.
Also a colt, this stunning black fella comes with three white legs and a look which would put Jason Momoa to shame!
By Sweet Lou, the youngster is from Alashall, which traces back to broodmare gem, Soky’s Number.
Time will tell who has the better eye at today’s APG Sale, but until then…HAPPY BIDDING.
