Exciting filly remains unbeaten

EXCITING youngster Miss Nashville maintained her perfect record at Globe Derby last Saturday night.

Despite beginning from an awkward draw against older rivals, Miss Nashville proved too good in the Kevin and Kay Seymour Final.

As such, the daughter of Poster Boy remains undefeated from three starts.

Pleased with Miss Nashville’s progress, trainer Ryan Hryhorec has set his sights on two key targets with the three-year-old.

Hryhorec has earmarked the Southern Cross as Miss Nashville’s primary target, with the South Australia Oaks also on the agenda.

For now, the filly will have a short break before bring primed for the late season missions.

“She has come a long way in a short period,” Hryhorec said. “She is pretty fast…has a good turn of foot.

“The Southern Cross is the main aim with her, so she will have a month off now and then see what happens.

“If she continues to go well enough, I’ll look at the Oaks with her as well.”

With Hryhorec holding the reins, Miss Nashville worked to the lead from barrier seven before completing a four-and-a-half metre win from Trigger, with Weregoingtogetcha two-and-a-half metres away third.

Rating 1:57.9 over 1800 metres, Miss Nashville was the closing leg of a training double for Hryhorec, who prepared Lochinvar Leader to score earlier on the card.

Driven by Dani Hill, Lochinvar Leader led throughout to score by a metre-and-a-half from his stablemate Miss Out.

The Reginator was seven metres away third as the winner rated 1:57 over 1800 metres.

“He is doing a top job since he got here,” Hryhorec said. “He’s won four from four, so you can’t ask for more than that.

“The Derby is still a while away, but it is something I will look at with him.”
