AN ALL-TROT meeting wouldn’t be complete without a strong representation from Yabby Dam Farms.
Boasting a stable crammed with talented squaregaiters Yabby Dam Farms is always a force to be reckoned with in any trotting event and Saturday night’s Tabcorp Park Melton program is no different.
The track will host 11 races as part of the Lyn McPherson Memorial evening, including four Group Ones of which Yabby Dam Farms will contest three.
Destinee Jenilou is set to compete in the Lyn McPherson Gold Final, while Dance Craze is engaged in the Australian Grand Prix.
While both mares have solid chances, Im Ready Jet is the team’s leading chance of adding another top shelf victory to its ever-growing tally.
Successful in her heat last week, Im Ready Jet is the $2.10 TAB Fixed Odds favourite in the Need For Speed Princess Final.
Last season’s Australasian Breeders’ Crown champion, Im Ready Jet will begin from barrier three for trainer Anton Golino.
“She went very well in her heat and has improved in her track work,” Golino said. “She’s had three starts from a spell now and is in great order.
“It is a good draw for her and she is going to be pretty hard to beat.”
Citing Pink Galahs as the main danger, Golini also rates his ‘second stringer’ Imamaorijet as a threat.
Also triumphant in her qualifier, Pink Galahs has drawn barrier five for trainer Matthew Craven.
The daughter of Skyvalley is on the second line of betting at $3.
Runner-up behind Pink Galahs in her heat, Imamaorijet is rated as a $13 shot from gate two.
“I’m also happy with Imamaorijet and expect her to be right in it,” Golino said. “Pink Galahs is racing very well and is the one to beat.”
